Senior Production Manager | Aldershot

The Pen Warehouse is a busy Promotional Print Manufacturer and we are now looking for a skilled Senior Production Manager to join our busy shop floor.

As a key member of our Management team, you will be responsible for running the day to day function of our front-line Production Team with the objective of achieving the seamless delivery of all customer orders.

The Production Manager plans, schedules, strategizes, and oversees all production activities and performs essential functions to ensure overall customer satisfaction and quality service. You will be accountable for meeting the department production deadlines and quality goals, as well as playing a key role in meeting customer satisfaction goals.

You will be involved in pre-production planning as well as having control and overall responsibility for day-to-day production within the print shop.

Supervising, motivating, and supporting the staff daily, applying a team approach and maintaining open communication.

This is a front-line role so candidates must be prepared to ‘muck in’ and ‘get their hands dirty’

The successful candidate will:

  • Be professionally qualified to HND/Degree standard in mechanical engineering/production engineering or similar.
  • Have proven track record in production environment
  • Have experience in motivating staff
  • Be familiar with production processes / manufacturing or printing.
  • Be familiar with production control software and systems
  • Have Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures and high-volume production machinery and systems
  • Have experience and proven knowledge with Health and Safety Standards
  • Interact effectively with all levels and all positions within the organization
  • Be driven and energetic with a strong technical background and understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills and be dedication to team morale, customer service, safety, quality and delivery

A superb opportunity has arisen for the right person to join a busy Print Finishing department within a Promotional Printing facility, that is a fast growing and innovative organisation.

This business boasts a comprehensive array of finishing equipment and the successful candidate would be required to have previous Print Finishing experience, be quality conscious and able to work both under their own initiative and as part of a team.

As part of the Print finishing team you will be experienced in all aspects of print finishing. The successful candidate will report directly to the Production Manager. The role will be varied and will include the running of Duplo and Xerox machines, working with varied printed products including Business Cards and Folders.

    We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic person to join as an Operative in our warehouse team. You will perform a variety of functions in our busy warehouse.

    Day to day duties include:

  • Using PC to label stock
  • Paletise stock
  • Responsible for keeping return to stock items up to date
  • Checking for damaged or missing items
  • Storing goods
  • Moving stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck
  • Picking and packing orders
  • Loading goods for dispatch
  • Other general warehouse duties as required
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area including common areas
  • Ensure PPE is worn as required and adhere to Health & Safety legislation
  • The Ideal Candidates will:

  • Be computer literate
  • Have good eye for detail
  • Be fit and able to carry out manual lifting of boxes
